One of the greatest things about the holiday season is sharing a meal. In the spirit of that, this December we are supporting Loaves & Fishes of Door County, a community-organized and supported meal program that serves three, free-of-charge meals each month.
This month’s pizza features: Braised duck and Toulouse sausage, with roasted red and yellow peppers, grilled leeks and kale pesto over rosemary infused olive oil, finished with a warm salad of kale, Italian parsley, olive oil poached tomatoes and sunflower seeds dressed with lemon vinaigrette.
Funded entirely by donations Loaves & Fishes has served over 40,000 meals since 2003. Staffed by volunteers and led by a professional chef, the organization hosts dinner at NWTC in Sturgeon Bay three Fridays a month. On one night, they will serve more than a hundred meals.
This month, customers can eat the Donation Creation knowing that you are supporting an organization that helps Door County residents struggling to make ends meet.
