Benefiting Friends of Peninsula State Park
This month’s Donation Creation has some Jamaican flair! This month we feature The Jamaican Door jerk shrimp with pineapple and scotch bonnet pepper relish, red onion over a ginger plantain sauce. This month’s pizza benefits Friends of Peninsula State Park.
Friends of Peninsula State Park supports the interpretive, historical, educational and visitor service programs at Peninsula State park. It is through their work and volunteer hours that visitors can enjoy the park to the full extent.
Friends of Peninsula State Park logs over 1,000 volunteer hours annually. They maintain the trails for hikers and skiers, eradicate invasive species from the park and provide necessary funds for visitor resources.
They are currently working toward a Nature Center expansion and the Eagle Tower restoration. This month, you can eat the Donation Creation knowing that you are supporting an organization that keeps one of Door County’s most valuable resources.
